Passive vs. active trackers
This distinction matters because passive trackers transmit nothing — a simple RF sweep won’t find them. We always run both an RF scan AND a physical magnetometer pass.

Common questions
Why does pricing depend on the vehicle, not what you find?
Every sweep includes the full 4-category process — RF scan, magnetometer, OBD-II, optical, and damage-free teardown. The time and labour required depends on the vehicle’s complexity, not on whether we find a device. A Tesla Model X with multi-zone interior takes 3–4× longer to fully clear than a Honda Civic. We price for the work, not the outcome.
What does the on-site assessment do?
When we arrive, we walk around the vehicle for 5 minutes and confirm the tier. If it’s the tier you booked — the deposit applies and we proceed. If we’d need to bump up a tier (rare, only with major aftermarket modifications), we tell you the new range BEFORE starting any work. You can decline and only forfeit the deposit.
Will whoever is tracking me find out I had a sweep?
No. Our RF and magnetometer scan is passive — we don’t transmit. If we find a device, we’ll discuss your options with you before touching it. We can document and leave it in place (best for court evidence), remove it discreetly, or swap it for a dummy so the tracker keeps reporting to nothing useful.
How does the $99 deposit work?
The deposit reserves your slot and comes off your final bill. You only pay the balance after the sweep is complete. If we can’t fit you in within 24 hours of booking, the deposit is fully refunded. No subscriptions, no hidden charges.
Do I have to come to your shop?
No. Mobile service is the default. We come to your home, workplace, or a discreet meet-up location anywhere in the GTA.
What if you find a device?
You decide what happens next. Options: leave it in place and we document it (useful for police or court), remove it, or replace with a dummy. We never touch anything without your written go-ahead.
Can I use your report in court or for a restraining order?
Yes — the Executive Engagement tier includes court-ready documentation with photos, timestamps, chain-of-custody, and our technician’s signed declaration. Available on Average tier as an add-on. Your lawyer or the police can request our records or testimony.
What is the Find-It Guarantee?
If we don’t find a device during an Average or Executive Engagement sweep, we refund $200 of the service fee, or apply it as credit to a re-sweep within 30 days. Not available on Standard tier — a clean Standard sweep doesn’t rule out a sophisticated installation.
