Frequently asked questions
Can a thief disable Ghost-II?
Very difficult. The Ghost-II is hidden inside the OEM wiring loom and requires the PIN to be entered before any drive command is accepted by the engine ECU. Thieves stealing modern Range Rovers use a “relay attack” to amplify the key fob signal — Ghost-II defeats this because no drive command authorizes without your PIN, regardless of where the key is.
Can I install Ghost-II myself?
Technically, the hardware ships with documentation. In practice — no. Installing it incorrectly disables the immobilizer functions entirely or leaves the vehicle un-driveable. Our authorized install includes the proper integration and warranty support.
What if I forget my PIN?
Use the owner card backup restoration procedure. If lost, we reset it free at the shop with proof of ownership. No call to dealer needed.
